                                       Kowmudis Treatment:

                                     Kowmudis role in helping society:

As highlighted earlier, the nature is the best protector and healer of one’s health and our duty is to give the body an opportunity to stay healthy.

An astonishing fact about the nature is that, though we humans believe that they do things by spending the time, they are unaware of the fact that it is the TIME of NATURE that is moving us ahead in our lives.

Therefore, we have to obey the nature’s laws by fitting ourselves into the daily clock, which is naturally linked to our body or into the yearly seasonal clock.

Example lifestyle instructions in following the nature’s clock are as follows:
» Having breakfast before 9AM in the morning in order to provide initial nutrition of the day.
» Having a good sleep between 9PM and 5AM thereby giving the body and opportunity to get prepared for the next day in a more refreshing way.
Note: Not following the above mentioned routines will lead to many health disorders such as diabetes, gastritis, etc in the long term.
Some of the responsibilities in following our duty are as follows:
» To avoid unnecessary medication.
» Not to have self-medication without supervision of a doctor.
» To sleep early and to wake up early.
» Not to overload our stomach with food quite often.
» Having a healthy and balanced, timely diet.
» Doing basic exercises like Yoga, Meditation, Running/Jogging, etc.

                                                     Acupuncture Treatment:

In the recent decades, a remarkable amount of research has been conducted in-order to study and develop Acupuncture treatment methods. Many studies have been proving that the Acupuncture is an effective method for all ailments.

Due to this increased interest amongst the western medical scientists and doctors, extensive studies have been undertaken to elucidate the Principles and Anatomy of the Acupuncture. One such study was conducted by injecting a radioactive element called Technetium 99 and thereby tracing all the meridians of the human body. Similarly, Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) has been used to demonstrate the changes that occurred in Occipital Cortex region of the brain, that were brought by stimulating the Acupuncture points on legs and on the eyes.

In addition to this, there has been substantial increase in the levels of Cerebro Spinal Fluid(CSF), Endospines, Enupholins with Acupuncture. Theories such as Gate-Control Theory, Neuro-gate Theory and ACTH(Adeno-Cortico Tropic Hormone) study; developed by various western and eastern practitioners are strengthening the scientific evidence behind Acupuncture therapy.

                                                  Acupuncture Treatment:

Many people believe that Acupuncture treatment is something that was originated outside India.  However, it will be very surprising to know that this was a practice that has been under practice in India since Ancient times. It was originally known as Such Vaidya/Chikitsa and was described as a part of Suchi Veda.  The warrior from the great Indian epic Mahabharatha, Arjuna has used the same principle of acupuncture points in order to keep the Beeshmacharya alive until the arrival of Uttharayana Mahaghadiya.

There are not many people who are aware of the health benefits of this drug-less therapy (No drugs/Chemicals are used in Acupuncture Treatment).

The Technique:

Needles that are in micro-size(see the needle comparison image by clicking here), are inserted skill-fully into specific points on the body to activate some or many of 72,000 nerve currents, which further regulates a proper flow of the life energy, Prana, inside the body. In addition to this, natural chemicals from the brain called endorphins are released to eradicate toxic elements from the body. Which, in-turn enhances the functioning of the immune system.Pain Relief: A natural substance called OPIOD is released to reduce the pains in various regions of the body.

                 Chinese Theory of Acupuncture:

The acupuncture treatment has been recommended by WHO and which has been researched under the guidance of NIH(National Institute of Health), Food and Drug Administration(FDA) had come into light with the increased awareness of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the past few decades across the globe. The classic textbooks on Acupuncture explain about 365 Acupuncture points on the body.

As explained above, the whole treatment is based on the Prana(Life energy) that is known as Qi(pronounced as Chi) that flows in our human body.

According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), this Qi  flows in our body in 12 designated channels called meridians. The energy is maximized in each type of meridian for 2 hours each, covering the 24 hour period of a day by completing one cycle after flowing through the 12 paired channels. Each channel is linked to and originated from one particular organ in the human body, which is also linked with a type of tissue and a sensory organ.  The twelve meridians are categorized into six Yin and six Yang channels. One Yin andone Yang channel are coupled together as one pair.
All of these channels are further composed of five elements each having a dominated component of one element.
